Bulbs

Featured Replies

Argh! They're driving me nuts! Noticed this morning I have a sidelight out. Last week I replaced the headlight bulb on the same side. The week before I replaced the other headlight bulb. Why are they all going at the same time? At £10 a pop this is becoming a very expensive month, and I've already spent the months salary.

Also I think it's due a service. Anyone wanna lend me a few bob? :p

What headlight bulbs did you replace with? Just standard cheap ones?

I replaced mine with osram night breaker plus :)

Dont buy PIAA ones!!!!!!!

Paid £60 for a set, both bulbs have blown within 4-5 months :-| Whereas my ring automotive +120% bulbs for £20 lasted 1.5 years. Geuss which ones ill be purchasing tonight :p

Halfrauds specials?? :rofl::bandit:

Osram Nightbreaker+ H7s (blisterpack) are on Eurocarparts outlet on ebay for £12.95 a pair with a free torch right now. (at least they were on sunday when I ordered them)

The other half's Leon popped one H7 this morning and the other went tonight, the Octavia did the same within 24hrs. German manufactured replacements cost me £4 each from my factor.

+1 for nightbreakers, great lights

Just did a passenger side main bulb on the Fab. Around £5 & a pig to do as no room backing onto the battery casing ;)

Tell me about it! Glad I left that one for daylight fitting.

I've just been getting halfords bulbs. I don't really use my sidleights much this time of year, i mostly drive in the dark now, so dipped beam almost all the way

Haha, no, I was a mug to pay that price for them :/ They were really white, and a hell of a lot brighter than the std ones I have in atm :/

I can recommend HIDs, only had them on a week but cannot imagine having to drive in the dark without them - WHAAT A DIFFERENCE!!! the set cost me £33 posted and have a 2 yr warranty!

I notice a huge amount of cars with one headlight out. Its up to 1 in 10 in some towns around me, I've even seen one car following another with headlights not working. I wonder if people are just loosing the ability to change the bulbs or if the bulbs are not very long lasting. A friend of mine is driving around with her fog lights on at the back as both her back lights failed within a month of each other. I remember buying some decent yellow tint bulbs (funny how its all gone blue tint now) and they lasted 2 cars and about 10 years until I sold the car.

Yeah, im planning on getting the depo projectors and HIDs as long as my local MOT place says they will pass them :p

I find it easier to unclip the back case, and slide it out :) Gives about 3cm more, which is all I need (small hands) haha

Yep that definitely makes sense, as I was using a fair bit of anglo-saxon whilst fiddling about around 7-30am before the wife left for work!!

Bulbs grow, lamps glow. :giggle:
