Superb II 1.8TSI engine shakes

I have a rather strange problem with my Superb II (2008). Its engine has started to shake when I drive up to 2 000 rpm and no errors are shown in diagnostics.

Most bizarre thing is that the shaking is not allways there and is sometimes weaker, sometimes stronger. Most common is engine shaking when standing on spot with running engine but is also felt when driving (and think it is getting worse). .

As the problem is not allways there it is hard to think what could cause it. One thing I plan to do is to change all spark plugs. Second thing that I could think of is a faulty coil ... it so much sounds a problem with electrics.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Almost certain a faulty coil (even intermittent fault) would log in diagnostics - but I'm new to VAG products (at least petrol ones), so can't be sure

I have the same problem on my 2011, 1.8Tsi, 9000 mls, that when you accelerate through the gears without trying to kick in the turbo around 2000rpm the car is jerky, even when engine braking it is jerky, but not all the time!

I'm just starting trying BP Ultimate 97 RON at the moment to see if this improves as I suspect the previous owner may have put supermarket petrol in and or maybe one of the injectors could be lazy... otherwise will report it when next due for service.

Also when the engine is idling it is very smooth but if you slightly bring up the revs to 2000rpm the rev counter needle starts to flicker between 1800 -2200 rpm keeping the same position on the accelerator.
