Thought id share pics of my freshly painted grille and roof rails, the spray shop destroyed the badge so i'll have to order a new one :wall:

Looks good!

Shame the number plate looks a little odd against the European bumper aperture.

Can you not get a number plate surround to cover the holes for the EU plates?

Thanks guys

Yeah the number plate looks ****, we can get personalised euro size plates but it costs $868 so its way down on the to do list

My FL didn't have pre drilled holes on front bumper for number plates genius dealer just screwed into it unevenly one higher than other and one closer to edge than other.............. (Motorline Skoda Dartford)

Liking the spray jobs the new badges will look awesome on the black!

erm, is the car anthracite grey, did the sprayers not use the right paint to colourmatch the grille to the body or did you want it to be darker deliberately??

Says "Blacked out" as title.

Would have been better if you'd painted the grill in Anthracite Grey

Looks good that. Pretty mean

It'd be rude not to say.......

Yes, I can read, but your 'point' still detracts nothing to the validity of my question. I can't quite make out whether his car is black or, as I suspect, anthracite grey, whether it's a **** up and they painted it too dark a colour, or whether he actually wanted the grille to not match the rest of the car.

Any other irrelevant statements on the subject now i've explained it better for you FUBAR?? :finger:B)

To be fair, by the time you've clicked (and enlarged) the pictures its obvious the car is grey and the grill is black.

If the paint shop got the colour wrong then I'm sure the OP would have mentioned it.

To me your post should have said "why have you painted the grill black on a grey car, I don't like it".

I like it.

Never made any comment on whether I liked it or not, just wasn't sure what look the OP was going for and was trying to clarify it, and for me it wasn't obvious that it was grey even when enlarged so I guess your eyesight is better than mine.

To me, your post should have said 'here's my opinion of what you were thinking and i'll make sweeping statements cos it's what I think is the case even though I don't actually know.'

D1ck.

Agreed!

That's why I gave up the Ferrari dream and bought myself a skoda :D

I think the black surround looks good on the grey car. Just my 2pc worth.

What a tool.

Glad you agree.

this is how black on black would look like.......

I Like! I think its a clever and subtle way of tying everything together, rims, lower grill, roof rails and tinted windows. I'm getting more and more ideas of what I want to do to my Octy. And I thought I'd brought me a cheap run-around!
