The Seat Alteas 2nd key in now unlocking my dickhead of a car

That makes during its life:

My mums beetle

My mates octy

My mrs alteas 1st key

Now the second key

This gets on my tits more than anything !!!!

The stupid thing is i could prob try the seats spare and it will have prob stopped doing it

Its got a clifford on ( which if u unlock with key goes nuts )

My key does nothing to the stated cars

Their keys only unlock - they dont disarm the alarm, they jusy **** it off

Wheres the receiver in the octy that picks up the key signal

Sounds like the transponders codes are getting messed up. I had this once, I unlocked my old Vectra at work and it unlocked the manager of WH Smiths next doors Peugeot 307. Did it a few times. Very odd.

The transponder is not used to unlock the car, only to start it.

It is not unusual for the remote to open another car, but for so many to open yours??

I had this on mine,my mates lupo gti key would unlock mine but not lock it but my key did nothing on his but the pain been is that if he visited and left late on him unlocking his car would unlock mine setting off my Clifford too,think there must be a limited number of frequency codes on the vag cars lol

I just went out with the spare altea key that use to unlock mine..... It now doesnt

So im gna swap them again

I woke up so positive about my car too

Sounds like your car has been in learn mode whilst the other keys have been pressed. Delete all known remotes, set the number you need and relearn your remotes (making sure no-one presses the other remotes).
