Lowering springs recommendation?

Featured Replies

Would like to lower then fabia over the next few weeks, just wondered what springs everyone on here uses? I haven't got the budget for decent coilovers and i dont want JOM's, had them on my golf and they were useless, they barely lasted 2 winters before they were dead.

So can anybody recommend any springs.

Thanks!!

Eibach give a 25mm drop.

H&R give a 30mm drop.

:)

I am using H&R springs with standard dampeners. Only 30mm drop so not huge, looks oem really, not slammed. Ride is great, little firmer than before. Tbh I prefer it than standard. My girlfriend and parents havent noticed the ride difference and they were ver sceptical about me doing it as it would "ruin the ride". Have to say I'm very impressed with them and would buy them again if i had the money again. :)

Weitec springs 35mm front/30mm rear

Had eibachs before, too soft and squishy by comparison to the weitecs. Weitec certainly offered better handling characteristics imo :)

And cheaper i believe, i got mine from AwesomeGTi

What drop you looking for?

@ilmor do you hav any pics of your car?

I know money is an issue but you may be better of saving a bit more and buying some AP or wietec coilovers.

I got AP coilovers (£390) after having eibachs springs with matching Koni dampers.

Got the car sitting much better and can be adjusted, also I would say it made it handle a little better to.

Eibach Pro Kit, good quality, the drop at the rear isnt that good but for comfort/handling trade off, they were certainly a great investment for me

New eibach sportline springs lower more! Almost coilover looks! Good ride too

New eibach sportline springs lower more! Almost coilover looks! Good ride too

That would be cool, evidence available?

Well i had pro line springs on my golf gt and it lowered 15mm then changed for sportlines which dropped around 30mm
