Hybrid - new custom remap @ Jabbasport

Featured Replies

Went to Jabbasport to finally re-re-map by car after having made lots of changes to it since they last did it. Slightly bigger turbo (MD376 v MD374), bigger FMIC (THS seat sport style v Forge FMIC), decat, jetex exhaust and Jabbasport cone in a box.

Results are on graph below.

When run first thing, it produced 185bhp and 286lbs/ft (red lines) - showing that the original custom map was not suited to the new hardware at all. Power dropped off badly after its peak at 3769rpm.

Once Kevin had worked this magic, and after several power runs during the day, we got 220bhp and 336lbs/ft (blue lines). However that doesn't tell the whole story. Power does not tail off so sharply, producing 200bhp all the way to the red line.

Bit disappointed with max torque figure - not sure why its so low. I think it's lower than when it had the MD374, but I need to dig out the previous graph from Jabba supplied by previous owner, to double check.

But it's so nice to drive now and very rapid.

cheers mate. Was gutted for you after all the work you'd put in and especially after having to send the turbo back in the first place. Hopefully 3rd time lucky

How much did this map cost mate?

How much did this map cost mate?

Normal cost is £420 inc vat, but Jabba did a good price for me :)

Ooo. That is tempting. I have a custom jabba stage 1 and its 186 atm. But i have all gear for stage 2. Do you know if they add launch control and a rev limter into the map? Or is that done on request?

As you've got a jabba map already, they will sort you out with a good price for your next step. And I quote from them on Wednesday "we like to look after our customers".

Best ask them direst re the launch control and rev limiter :)

non-smoker!

Cool. I really wouldn't be too disappointed with the torque level you have in that case.

Also are you still running with a DMF?

I've got launch control :)

how does that work then?

When stationery the revs are limited to 2500rpm regardless of how hard you put your foot down

Only put it on for a laugh really

Used it once to try it but never used it since as I've never needed to

Ah, right, bit of a party trick :)
