Anyone Got A Parrot Kit?

Featured Replies

Anyone got a Parrot hands free kit installed in their Fabia?

If yes;

Which do you have?

Where is it mounted?

Do you like it? (sound/build quality etc)

Also is there a way to hook them up to the h/u so it works through the cars speakers and stops the music playing before you answer a call?

Had a basic CK3000 parrot kit in my old Fabia and my wifes.

Still got the two of them in the cupboard.

They automatically pair up with phone when ignition

turns on, work with either aftermarket or standard head units the same.

Nice place on the top of the glovebox (after removing it) for all the gubbins

to sit. Powered by the head unit (Whether its on or not) so no additional

power supply needed. Mic wire easy to hide up L/H screen trim and across headlining,

Mic can be fitted invisibly in the centre interior light (Mine were stuck to screen though)

Control unit mounted just below right centre vent via sticky pad, wire went in under

vent without any drilling/cutting. Auto interrupts music when a call comes in.

Very good sound quality. Can pair with multiple phones. voice dialling compatible.

Both our current cars have factory bluetooth now. But both were removed without

any damage to cars or the kits and no indication they were ever there.

Bit of a squeeze behind the head unit for the extra plugs but that's the hardest part

of the install in my opinion.

Don't suppose you want to sell one of your old kits Garry??

got a mate who's looking to buy a hands free and I used to have a parrot and thought highly of it?

Text me dude!!

Parrots are great, ive one in the octy, i thought they all used stereo wiring and cut the sound for the call. Very clear, excellent pairing speed. Taxi drivers weapon of choice up here.

CK3100 here. Mic top of drivers A pillar, control box tucked in space above pedals and little screen to the left of the steering column, below speedo area.

Spot on piece of kit, pairs automatically on starting the car. Recommended :)

Got a CK3100 mounted to the spare switch cover by the ABS switch.

Parrot do a wiring kit so it's all plug and play.

A little pricey but works well and you get regular firmware updates to support new phones that you program using a laptop over Bluetooth.
