Mk1 Octavia VRS NOW

Featured Replies

2001 'Y' reg Skoda Octavia Vrs,

I am the 4th owner,

HPI Clear,

123,600 miles, motorway miles, will rise slightly, as car is in daily use,

Tax til Feb 2013, MOT til July 2013,

All 4 tyres in very good condition,

I have owned my octy since February 2012, and the reason for sale is that, i simply need the money :'(

Has FULL SERVICE HISTORY FROM NEW,

Last service at 118,000,

Cambelt and waterpump changed at 110,000,

Coilpacks replaced through Skoda recall at 110,000, they also did a full inspection of the vehicle,

Has ALL MOTs FROM NEW,

Every receipt from new , before and during my ownership,

Has had a gearbox with 58,000miles on, fitted in 2008, have receipt, cost £500,

Gearbox and clutch in EXTREMELY great condition, bite is very low, so both gearbox and clutch have PLENTY of life left,

As soon as i bought the car i had got a service done and changed the cambelt and waterpump, costing over £400 in total,

Have replaced rubber breather hoses, for more durable silicone hoses, cost £75 in total,

Have fitted a Cupra R splitter,

Have fitted aftermarket parking sensors, with a screen on the dash showing the distance behind in metres; GREAT for parking,

Have fitted a boost gauge,

Have had a REVO Stage 1 remap (£300); 207/240lbs f torque; very fast and economical when driven sensibly; 31mpg around town, 39-42mpg motorway,

Octavia's have a water ingress common fault, unfortunately my car had leaked in water in May 2012, BUT i have got this fixed at Skoda which cost over £400, so new owner will have no issues of water ingress ever.

Tow Bar fitted, ive never used.

APPROVED THATCHAM ALARM, WITH WINDOW CLOSURE,

HAVE ALL RECEIPTS FROM NEW FOR THE VEHICLE, IN TOTAL I HAVE SPENT OVER £1500 IN MY OWNERSHIP, AND THE PREVIOUS OWNERS BEFORE HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ALSO.

A very well looked after vehicle, with no faults, no bad points.

A practical yet surprisingly fast and economical hatchback.

The pictures show all receipts and the condition of the car.

This is a cared for vehicle, and i know the price may seems a bit high for the age of my Octavia VRS, in comparison to other VRS's, however, this is an unabused example with ALL paperwork from new (I even have the original tax disc holder that came with the car when new), therefore, finding a car in this condition with ALL paperwork is a rare find.

Bad points, being honest:

EML on; Coolant Temperature Sensor, bought a genuine one, but suspect its faulty, the CTS has got 2 year warranty,

Driver side window does not open, cable on motor snapped,

Left wishbone bush needs changing.

Usual marks, interior would need a clean; cost £60 for full valet from Skoda,

Stone chips from motorway,

And thats it, very minor bad points.

If interested PM,

£1799ono.

NOW £1100,

Lol £1100 is the final price to briskoda members :-)

See you're after swaps on another website, fancy a deal with my Clio 172?

  • Author

Yeah I'm on swapz, don't really like the site to be honest :-( But I need something cheaper to run, n something with no faults as I can't afford to buy or get a car and then spend money repairing :-(

Not really much to sort on the Clio the dephaser pulley doesn't need changing they just rattle a bit. It can't break either. It will do 40+ mpg on a trip and at the minute its showing 36 mpg on my 6 mile work run, plus cheap insurance. Up to you it's a good car and I've been all over the country in it. Did 300 miles in it Saturday with no issues at all
