After years of should i/ shouldn't i, i finally took the jump and ordered the tammy 17 50 2.8 (non vc) as an upgrade to my 18 55 is canon kit lens.

Fingers crossed it should b here in no more than a couple of weeks.

Fantastic lens. I loved it. Only downside for me was that it's quite noisy focussing and the zoom goes the wrong direction if you're used to canon lenses. Quality is fantastic, still think it was better than the Canon 17-55 I replaced it with IMHO.

I had one for a while and it was great, I went to FF so couldn't use it.. Enjoy

Lens arrived last saturday and sent off tuesday for calibration to tamron. Initial tests showed extreme front focus at 17mm.
