I assume you mean the C70? 193bhp for the LPT or 240bhp for the T5. At 150mph I'd assume it's the T5 version.

Thats it the T5, didnt like to say b4 incase i got it wrong! No-wonder it was a match, but i thought i had got the edge untill i remembered that i got kids who might like to see me tonight so i retired gracefully( must be getting old )

2.0 Turbo? Or is it 2.5 turbo, with 5 cylinders?

2 litre 5-pot and a 2.3l 5-pot for the T5 version.

Nice motors, would be a great cruiser I bet and I think the C70 looks very nice. Dad used to have the V70 T5 and was a brilliant motorway car, just a pity it was so awful round corners. And the T5 versions have an addiction to front tyres!

My Pal has a 2.3 T5 C70, it's a lovely motor with loads of torque & it sounds very nice too... pity it doesn't like corners! In a straightline it'll wipe the floor with my Octy... get me in the lanes where the fun begins & I'll skin it alive...

Volvo's are really rather brisk. If you look at my vids in my sig, you can see me race a C70 in my 850 T5 - this guy ran 350hp, cut slicks and coilovers. He eventually managed a 13.?? 1/4 but goes on to a real speed of over 160mph.

They are very brisk.

1/4 mile would be perfect, not a corner in sight!! Did you actually manage to make your 850 handle properly Andy?

Erm - it handled in a fassion. With the help of bilstein and eibach's with a strut brace and x4 eagle F1's it was excellent at high speed stability and fast b roads - but pot holes and tight bends upset it a lot. But i managed to stick to this c70 on the way to santa pod. He was not happy having spent

really like the C70, its a nice motor and can be had in top spec for Octy money as well. did look at them when i was looking for a new car but went for the vRS in the end cause it was cheaper to run/insure and SWMBO liked the vRS alot.

Yeah, did a quick Autotrader search last night, some nice examples available and a lot of car for the money :eek:

But I'd agree insurance might be the sticking point, as the T5's in group 16, and they tend to eat fuel and tyres when you want to make progress
