Yeti winter/all season tyres - wear indicators.

Sorted, job's a good'un. My Tyres delivered on the date they promised, and the two new Goodyear 4 Seasons have been fitted by local dealer. I've kept the old pair; they're still legal (about 4mm of tread), just not up to 'alpine' standards. Putting them in the garage in case of (puncture) emergency ... given that delivery of a new one would take 10 days or so it seems sensible to have a standby to fill in. Ready to go skiing in 2 weeks time - bring on the snow!

Mine are borderline on the 4mm tread markers - I have a pair of new ones at home waiting to be fitted (took 4 days to come from Oponeo which amazed me frankly as they arrived faster than a book I'd ordered from within the UK!).

If it snows at the weekend I want to see how well they fare with this level of tread, before fitting the new ones ready to head north of the border in a few weeks.

I checked on the tread markers on TyreReviews web forum as I wasn't sure what they indicated... they confirmed what has been said above.

I found the Ice Touring ST to be great in snow. I have ZV5s on my Merc C180.

Have had the Avons on my SM for 3 weeks but yet to try them out in proper winter conditions- though things are looking promising for the weekend!

I thought they should be OK as they are a well known brand name and I have a bit of a soft spot for the company as I am a fan of Moulton bikes [The link is tenuous mind!]

Procured fron Rainworth Skoda on 16" steel rims with caddy covers---a friend said it looked a bit evil with them on!
