Fitting a sub?

Featured Replies

I've searched and found 1 or 2 which have been a little help but I need a bit more info really. I'm hoping you dedicated fans of theses cars aren't to bothered by the post but I need to clear a few things, and I hope it helps a few people in the future. I'm not finding the search button very good to be honest(bit hit and miss to be honest)

I've looked in the engine bay and know where I can run the power cable. But I need to remove the scuttle panel, does this just pull off from under the windscreen? As it looks as if it doesn't move and I don't want to force it.

Is there a good earth point in the boot so I don't have to run the lead with the power lead and the RCA leads.

Is there a how too guide on how to remove the plastics on the sill's?

Cheers in advance people.

There's a groove at the bottom of the screen that the scuttle trim clips into. you need to pull it directly away from the screen (tight, be carefull especially in this cold weather as the plastic is more brittle).

There is an earth under/behind the cd autochanger (if fitted) on the left hand side at the rear of the car.

Plastic trims on sills have clips on them too and lift upwards, iirc you need to take the fwd lower trims off first (couple of screws each).

Sod taking that off, the black trim that runs down from scuttle panel and along front cross member to battery with all wiring in, where it joins bulkhead before it rises to scuttle panel there is a grommit that goes into car just behind glovebox,

Just unclip trim and lift relay box out of way and its there, i ran 2 4 gauge amp cables through it
