I am looking for a guide on how to remove the drivers side door card, I need to replace the whole wing mirror

Any help?

Shouldn't need to remove on a fabia vRS - remove the triangle piece of trim with the speaker grille. This exposes the mirror bolt (usually behind some foam) and I am fairly sure the electrical connector is there too. On the non vRS fabias, the plug is right in the depths of the door card, so you do have to remove it.

If ever you do want to remove it

• Three small torx down the very bottom
  
• Lift up front end of handle top, then slide up and lift the larger rear piece of handle lid
  
• Three large chunky philips screws exposed.
  
• Start at one corner and persuade edges out to "POP" the poppers.
  
• It should in the end just be hanging on by the window, so lift there and it should come away
  
• Disconnect all electricals - i.e window switch, elec mirror etc.
  

I guess just a flat edge will pop the small triangle off?

On the non vRS fabias, the plug is right in the depths of the door card, so you do have to remove it.

The one I did was a non vRS which explains what a pain it was.

Never tried on a vRS.

Yeah, its held on with a single clip. I have a feeling applying upward pressure lifts it off the mount - its more obvious when its off. I have snapped a few no worries but then just put them back with a little blu-tack or something to hold them back. They are kind of wedged in behind the corner of the door card too which helps keep them in place.
