Yeti L&K

Featured Replies

Yes, that is the electric seat. But it's a LHD car.

There are a lot of options we don't get in the UK.

This is down to Skoda UK who look at what is available and then decide what they are going to offer to UK customers.

Things like paintbox colours (40+ extra colours), parking heater to pre-warm car etc... are available but Skoda UK say we don't want them, so they don't go in the UK brochure.

I'm sure the electric seat is available in the UK. It's just another balls up in the brochure.

A prime example of this is not offering the L&K in red.

There is no reason it can't be done as it's a Yeti with a sunroof shell rolling down the production line.

What about Terracotta (spelling?) Orange Metallic?

If I order a Yeti L&K in Germany I can have that as a stock colour choice.

Or Red.

Or (unlike the UK) I can get an L&K in 2WD format. 1.4Tsi, no problem. Hell, they even have a 1.4Tsi DSG and a 1.8Tsi 4x4 DSG...

I just find it a bit infuriating that the factory clearly are happy to produce these options and drivetrain layouts but in the UK we get our options limited by what SUK think we want.

I thought you meant the non standard colours like you can get with audi etc!

yes it is poo that they won't allow the full range of paint when you can in other countries. only consolation I can give you is that the equivalent model in Germany is usually a lot more expensive!

... and a 1.8Tsi 4x4 DSG....

Oh, yes please!

Just a thought...... SUK comes in for a tremendous amount of stick, if not proper bile, on this forum because of what we assume are decisions made by them about various matters.

Has anyone EVER asked directly where the decisions are actually made?

We are very quick to condemn if it doesn't meet with our own little expectations, and yet there could be some very justifiable reasons behind the decisions that are taken. And of course, it could be complete stupidity, too, but it would be much more accurate to hear the REAL REASONS, as opposed to supposition from members here!

Just sayin'.......

SUK choose what they want to make available, put in the brochure, import and sell.

This is a choice of the options Skoda are capable of producing.

It's up to the individual importers in each country to decide what they will make available to their potential customers and how flexible they will be.

Think back to the 16" wheel option on regular Yetis.

SUK originally said no... Skoda themselves were contacted and said yes, no problem. So some members were able to get what they wanted.
