Just ordered a fabia 1.2 tsi but a little confused?

Featured Replies

My dad has been today and ordered a brand new 1.2 tsi 105 se. He first went to skoda at Preston and said he wanted it with elba 16" alloys. They said they didn't do them wheels any more. Anyway he then went to claybank at eccles, and requested the same wheels and they said no problem!? Also when at preston he drove a 105 which he thought was a good car, then went to claybank and asked to drive a 105 but all they had in was an 85. So he took it for a drive and he said it felt much faster then the 105 he drove earlier in the day? He thought they must have got it wrong so he check the number plates on direct.gov and checked the emissions for each and they tallied up as one bein a 105 and the other bein a 85? Why would the 85 seam quicker? Both had over 7k on them so where run in. Anyway he ended up ordering a white 105. He was feeling left out with my uncle having a Monte and my vrs! Lol

The Elba's are still showing in both the latest brochure and on the build your own, so no idea why the first dealer came up with not available, unless there in the process of being withdrawn :wonder: Nice alloys anyway, had them on the previous Elegance TSI.

Now on our second Fabia TSI 85/86 (a Monte :) ) and having driven the 105 I would also agree there's not much in it with the 5 speed box. The 105 IMHO is more suited to a 6 speed or the 7 speed DSG. The latter I've also driven but in a Yeti which does seem better.
