Fabia VRS Ordered Today

Featured Replies

Firstly have to say thanks for all the useful posts prior to making my purchase today (took under and hour including test drive!)

Red

Black wheels

Black roof

(very monte carlo!)

No sat nav - will pick up a kenwood or columbus with DAB when available. Maybe even a MirrorLink if they get it working properly with more phones.

centre arm rest , bluetooth, steering wheel with audio, rear parking sensors, headlight washers. red seats, 5 year warranty, climate, cruise. heated front seats. elec rear windows.3rd headrest. glasses/under seat storage

Big spec for a wee car. The plan was to remove some items during negotiations but i got a great price so didn't need to. But the car will probably never be sold, as if when it arrive my mum likes it, she will take it to London and she doesn't change her cars. Current car is 9 years old. If not it will live with me as my DD and the folks will use it when they come back to Glasgow.

Was very impressed with the DSG gearbox in both auto, manual and auto sport modes. My only criticisms of the car on the test drive was the engine sounds a wee bit harsh when pushed, the sound deadening could be better, and the interior is dark (was tempted to add a sunroof but it's not that bad). But i did think it had some good poke.

19 weeks to delivery apparently. But in no rush. Need to sell an X5 before then.

Good colour combo

Top colours ;-)

Week 18 I was told today. So mid to end of may before I see it. Let's hope it moves fwd :-)

On the EiBachs they're £480 as a dealer fitted accessory. Think I'll buy them for £180 (or less) and fit myself. The hourly rate will be pretty good paid to myself :-)

I had mine fitted by the dealer at £370, what on earth is their hourly rate?!

6 hours to fit! May have something to do with the deal I got on the purchase price

£ 370 is about the going rate but £480 is way too much. Someone is extracting the urine at that price.

Indeed, I did a bit of research on here first and it did seem £370 was about right so went for it. £480 is more than a joke.

Yeah to be fair the salesman didn't push it. Said I could fit them at a later date etc.

That'll be two flappy paddle cars you have then MisterS3. :)

Once you've had your paddle flapped once, there's no going back ;-)

Had paddles since the 335d, but bizarrely the X540d doesn't. It really could do with them.

Car arrives soon. Less than 2 weeks!

Wasn't expecting that. Need to dump to x5 at some point as 3 cars is a bit silly!

2 quick shots of the car. It was freezing. And I had to head to Edinburgh before the traffic. When gets warmer, will wash and take more.

That's unless my mum suddenly gets over her Skoda Fobia ;-) and steals it.

Looks great. Still not sure about the new colourless vrs badges though.

It would be better if they were colour coded. And the rear name badges aren't to my taste. I usually remove them from my cars. So may again

I was thinking about debadging my new vrs when it arrives and just leaving the vrs badge on. But that may look odd now the vrs badge is on the lower part of the boot lid

Twin of one I've ordered for the OH.

Nice plate!!

Don't like the wheels though, or rather the shiny bit round the rim.

Told my dealer to replace the ones on my car when it comes, for the Monte Carlo ones - don't know if he will though!

Yeah not a huge fan of the rim either. Would prefer all black.

Good shout on the Monte Carlo wheels. Hope that comes off for you.

Its funny how narrow the car looks compared to fast Datsun and X5. But I'm enjoy driving it.

It is narrow compared to most cars even narrow ones.

It is strange how they have placed the New Badges,

and Removing Skoda from the Centre badge.

Funnily many want to overtake the ones without badges more than when they have vRS on them.

(some might be less inclined if they think its a Vauxhall in front)

You could just move the vRS badge to where ever you want it to be.

Any interior shots? New wheel, gear stick, armrest shots would be great! (Did you go for grey or red trim?)
