New Black Skoda Badge for Octavia 2

Featured Replies

HI Just put deposit down for my second Octavia 2 VRS :hi: , (my last got stolen from outside my house  , and was later found during a police raid, and was being used in serious crime). At least it died "braking the law".

Anyway more to the point, i want to change the green skoda bagdes for the black ones you get on the new Citgo and Rapid, does anyone know if either of these model badges fit on an Octy 2?? or where to get some that will fit??

Thanks

Bit like Marmite them badges......

Hate it. It just looks cheap cheerful and

Indistinctive. The first time I saw it on the Citigo I

mistakenly thought it was a Vauxhall! Obviously I also hate Marmite!

I love marmite but I don't like the new badge.

Vauxhall-ised..

I get the impression Skoda are trying to distance themselves from there humble roots and trying to become more mainstream or in there eyes more upmarket. To me they have managed to go grey neither one thing or the other, boring. The old badge was iconic everbody knew what it was a skoda and proud of it. The green did it,Now it looks like there trying to hide the make, because as allready has been said,it could be a vauxhall kia et al. Still its a choice and its what you like that counts nobody else really matters

Anyone like to bet how long it will be before someone with a mkiii Octavia asks whether the old badges will fit his new car? :-)

They had to change them as the green ones de-laminate within 6 months. The new ones are like the originals anyway, ( like on my Dads 3 Estelles in the 70s) so Vauxhall copied them . Just a shame the new models are boring and over priced .

Should turn out to be a nice little earner. Selling new badges to people with old cars and old badges to people with new ones. I prefer the classic badge but no way would I change the badge a car came with.

As blue says these are reminiscent of the skodas of old including the 90's felicias iirc

I like

I have just put some on my Octy vrs, as the old ones delaminated ( white worm)

This is what they look like on a Silver car

Please excuse the slightly dirty car recent weather hasnt helped.

De laminate in six months? 3yrs warranty on my car, twelve badges in three years thats a consumable then, worse than tyres surely that cant be right, or are they realy that bad..

I had 2 rears, one front and 3 full setts of wheel badges in three yrears, then I ordered the new badges in June last year ! when the replaced one started to go, and yes , unless you live in Dubai then they will go white , or keep it in your garage and never wash it
