Is it just a case of levering them off or is there a knack to it? I tried in the drivers door and it didn't look too clever so I whacked it back on. I want to take them off the wrap them as I have come across some very good carbon vinyl.

I am not sure they can be removed without damaging the door card. From what I recall with my old Octavia when I bought it, one of the silver trims had a deep scratch. The dealer had to order a whole new card as the trim was not available as a separate item.

Not what I wanted to hear. I'm sure Brimma Has done his gold.

The trims won't prise off from the front without either breaking the trim or wrecking the door card

It's a doorcard off job, I'm afraid, then use a Stanley/craft knife to cut the tabs off the back

You'll be very lucky if you get the doorcard off without breaking some of the grommets too, as they are very brittle, so it's worth having a few spares available when you do it

Finally you'll need some thick double sided sticky pads to put the trim back on

If it's any consolation, if I can do it, anyone can
