Bolero and parking sensors - muting

Featured Replies

Is it possible to set the level of the music volume while the reversing sensors are active? I have been able to toggle between music totally muted and not muted at all in VCDS but not actually set any levels. It is described in the manual as reducing to a preset level but there is no adjustment at the fascia.

This setting was available through the head unit on the Swing radio in my previous car so you could set it to quieten the audio to a level that you could hear the sensor beeps.Thanks.

I have the same issue so would be interested to hear this. I had hoped using the old stereo, it would remember but it didn't

I don't know if setting louder volume on the sensores will have an effect on radios volume. I will look.

Press the button with musical notes on it (top left), select volume, select parking distance control and you can adjust the volume.

Thanks, I need to do that too.

Mine isn't visible. Wonder if it needs coding in VCDS

I set mine when I got the car around 5 years ago. Manual is pretty explicit IIRC. Mine is set to turn the radio volume down but not off when reversing.

Completed successfully. The settings refer to the level of muting rather than the level of music so high is totally muted and medium seemed about right for my aging ears  low wasn't enough.

I guess mine being retrofitted is the reason for no option

I had a look using vcds and there are items that need selecting in controller 10 for park assist as well as the radio. It may be you need a setting adjusting.

It's selected in radio and I can't connect to 10 park/steer assist, get a 'no response from controller' :(

Cheers Mike, will pop back out now.

Just about to post my fault reading in teh vcds section, hopefully they are nothing major

Hmm, can't see where the volume is, I guess it's not in the long coding. Will google it

Found it in adaptation
