For service, mudflaps and to bleed the brakes

Which service was it ?

T & P quote £85-£95 for the first service

& £177 for the 24 month/20,000 mile service or did.

(£110 for a 3 year service on a vRS, but they were not sure!)

**Aileen or Arleen, Ailsa or whoever on the desk can state that all MK2 vRS are not all Automatics because she has driven a manual one.**

The Service manager can state that he has never heard of High Oil usage with the Twin Charger.

They generally are rather terrible IMO with Customer Service and also car Services.

They need to be a bit more accurate in checking Oil Levels before putting Cars back to customers. JMO obviously.

So maybe £177 + £39 brakes = £206,

??

was it £82 to supply and fit mudflaps that they wanted,

or how was it broken down in cost?

1 pair or 2 pairs?

Importantly,

How old & how many miles has the car done??

By the Skoda service schedule Brakes need fluid changed at 3 years, (Obviously before if required)

Was it a 3 year service that was to be done because it costs less than a 2 year/20,000 service..

They do tend to 'Pick a price, any price'

at T&P Burrelton, part of the 'John Clark Group' that also own 'Skoda Specialist Cars in Dundee & Aberdeen'.

** Worth buying your own Mudflaps & fitting, saves paying someone £60, £80 or even £100 an hour.**

It was a 2nd service 20,000 they called it.car I two years old next month with 13000 miles on the clock.it was 133 for labour plus 98 for parts with vat on top.mud flaps were 17 per pair.have to say wasnt best impressed with them.has to go back for a warranty job as the bottom sound panel is rattling as they never had enough time to fix this problem in the day

Can you look at the Invoice please,

is that them taking 2 hours for labour.

£133 plus £98 plus 20% = £277.20, so not sure there.

£288 - £277.20 = £10.80 what is the difference about?

£17 a pair is an amazing price, real bargain there.

If you got a new Pollen Filter, Oil & Filter & Plug and an Inspection Service with a Brake Fluid change,

*& their Environmental Charge*

you got a great bargain IMO.

Not sure why they did the Brake Fluid Change on a 2 years-13,000 mile car,

but maybe they tested the Fluid & decided it was required.

(More likely they think its due which is wrong or checked the service schedule for a MK1 vRS.)

?Did they reset your Service Indicator & Stamp the Book?

When does it show next service as being due?????

I would check your Oil Level yourself when the oil is hot.

& best to Reset your TPMS, (Tyre Pressure Monitor System) yourself once you are happy with the pressures.

?? What or where is the bottom sound panel??

Do you mean an undertray or on the exhaust or something else?

What are they doing, getting a part in or just taking the pith?

They said it was behind the dash somewhere.an ur won't take long to do only half and hour at the most they said.im getting two tyres fitted on Saturday as it came with two linglong tyres on the front which are crap so putting prada spec 2's on.they reset indicator and stamped book.cant remember when the next one is due ill check after work

Good stuff.

All Linglong tyres are not rubbish,

I had Linglong Enduro 916+ which i used quite a bit & were pretty good in the wet. (not on a vRS)

They are very cheap, and there are better, but they worked well.

The Parada Spec 2 are good in the dry IME, but not so good in the wet or cold.
