Fuel filter change

Featured Replies

I want to change the fuel filter before the manufacturers recommendation of 60000 miles on my 2010,2 litre PD Octavia. Seems to me all the crud in creation will have got into it long before then and replacements are cheap. I viewed a YouTube video on a VW. Seemed very complicated after the filter change getting car started.

Anyone done one of these?

Easy way to get the car started after is to pure some deisel back into the filter after and try turn it over should work. Worked on my old leon.

Have seen it being done.Very simple if a bit tricky to get at one of the Tx bolts. Take out the old filter and refit the new one being careful with a rubber seal on the top. No problems what so ever restarting the car.

Mine is the BKD engine.
