Hopefully a Skoda owner as of tomorrow.

It has the basic CD player, but needs a code. Is that a dealer only job, or can it be done another way?

Alternatively, what OEM head units are the better ones?

I've done a search and there seem to be loads of different options. Large touchscreen with GPS would be nice if they are not too expensive.

Am I right in thinking that pretty much any VAG headunit will fit and work?

Search. There's a thread a few pages back about every oem skoda headunit. Think coding is a dealer only thing and touchscreen + satnav = Columbus.
