Rear doors (interior!) wet when raining

Featured Replies

Has anyone else noticed that when its raining or have washed the car that then you check the lower part of the rear doors just below door pocket the material is always wet. Then when you open the door you can see that the water has gone passed the rubber door seal onto some of the interior plastics and material.

Any suggestions why this is only happening on the rear doors too? there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the door seal.

have the same problem....

no solution so far

Got mine sorted -

The rear top corner of the door seal wasn't fully pushed on. Even though the rubber seal is there you need to ensure it is pushed full on.

This may mean bending back the interior side where it goes over the interior trim, before pushing it on, as this is usually what stops it from seating properly.

also supposedly there is a filter somewhere back there that gets blocked and they were replaced on mine

Watch out because water can stain the seats.

water does stain the seats even when getting in the car if its raining. my drivers seat looks like i have ****ed my self !!!

Are your seats treated?

Mine are but I think it's probably worn off now as they've been scrubbed so often.

Youngest son is not allowed in the furby anymore he has to go in the octy.

Dealer sorted mine - re-sealed the rear doors. All seems good again now

More than likey cause is the ancilleries carrier is leaking on the door. Requires re sealing.

:) Anyboby have a picture so I know what to look for in the door ?

I get this on my front doors, on the left after the dealer replaced the window switch, looks like its back to the dealer for me...
