Well, i blew my turbo shaft to pieces last night luckily the acutally seals remained intact.. Got myself a GTTDi 150bhp turbo off the Golf ARL engine for a decent price as i was told they fit, what do i need to do to fit this turbo to make it fit or is it bolt on ? Also will it need another remap with the FMIC and bigger turbo ? cheers

It`ll need "clocking" to go on, which is a simple process of loosening some nuts and rotating the housing. I`v not done it myself but i`m sure there is a guide somewhere. It`ll work as is, but to gain the extra power it`d need the map adjusting.

Untill u get the map tweeked for the bigger turbo u wont see any gains.. maybe a bit more right at the top end..

Without adjusting the map u will get slower acceleration because the turbo is bigger so will take longer to "spool up".

So it will feel slower untill u sort the map

+ Clocking the turbo is just loosening the 10mm bolts that go round the edge.. spinning it 90º (or fitting it and spinning till it looks right).. job done
