Superb news, anyone?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any more news about a future Superb estate, with or without a W8 engine, following on from the famous Sun article?

the trail seems to have gone cold .... there was a post on WRC online (bouncing czechs) that stated it wasnt going to happen after all , but i wouldnt take that as gospel.

Latest I heard was it might not happen due to the W8 being pulled from the latest passat due to size issues.

However as somebody else pointed out it cost a lot of euros to develop that block for it to only appear in a few models would be one heck of a waste.

Who knows, octavia model change in 2004/5, superb maybe following afterwards they have only got a limited window IMHO.

Personally if the rumour of 30k w8 estate were true and one does appear...I'll be walking *quickly* to a dealer.

Hi!

My local reseller told me that he had heard info from Skoda that the Superb Combi will show up when the new Passat arrive as a sedan. Maybe it will hit the market late fall 2004.

Kind regards

Mike,

Hi and welcome to Briskoda.

We are trying to get more news on this as the W8 is a cracking development and would be a real shame if it just disappeared.

Colin.

I read a post on WRC online forum stating the Superb Combi will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show in September , no word on the W8 or 4Motion at this time though.
