SD Card Help

Featured Replies

Hi all

I finally picked my Octavia up over weekend and seen as I have the memory card slot I'd like to use it but the problem I have is I have some albums I want to stay as an album. When I copied them into the card and but some singles in the album songs don't appear at all in the folders yet the ones I put in loose do. Anyone had this problem?

Try renaming the tracks?

It's easy to move the files around into folders just like you would normal files on your computer. Just drag and drop! I've organised mine into group names A-F, G-L, M-R and S-Z, and within those are the albums in subfolders and the songs sit in those. If you put a single track in the root folder, you will be able to make the system play a random selection by setting it to 'mix'. Hope that helps.

I noticed a similar issue when putting ripping a musical show cd to my sd card. The only thing I could do was to rip each CD as a single track to make sure the songs were played in the correct order.

It looks like the Bolero will only play tracks in alphabetical order - unless anybody knows different!!

Dont forget that you need to enter the sub folders on the Columbus or Bolero otherwise you only see the loose files. Press Selection, and use the navigation controls to select a folder.

Make sure your ripping program generates a structure that looks like:

<Artist> ->

<Album> ->

01- Track1 name.mp3

02 - Track2 name.mp3

Or

<Artist_Album> ->

01- Track1 name.mp3

02 - Track2 name.mp3

Where <...> are folders.

Most CD ripping programs allow you to specify. Windows media player certainly does. Then that structure can simply be copied to the SD card.

Thanks - I'll take a look

You can also use playlists. Have a search on here for "SD Card" and/or "playlist"
