Just wondered if anyone can give us a clue as to what this issue could be...

When driving along from cold, the temperature gauge goes up as normal, but then comes down randomly by about 10°. It then goes up again and does this randomly until its hit the normal temperature of 90°.

Could this be a faulty sensor?

Sounds like CTS (coolant temp sender) could be on the way out. Relatively cheap part to replace, but a bit fiddly to change over without coolant pi**ing everywhere

Mine only rises while I'm driving (Moving) If I let it tick over then it slowly drops even when waiting in traffic

If I leave it running for about 10 - 15 mins it rises slightly but never reaches 90 until I actually drive it :/

When the temperature comes down, it's when I accelerate from driving along say at 25mph. It can happen at different speeds.

Same happening here. Thermostat stuck open?. I have been waiting for better weather to change mine.

thats what mine did thermostat had broke(stuck open). I decided just to replace everything
