Bolero AUX input not working

Featured Replies

I have just attempted to plug my ipod in via the AUX using 3.5mm double male jack lead. Having read through previous posts nothing is coming up in the Setup menu under media and the AUX button is staying greyed out on the media screen.

Any advice please and thank you

Hmmmm, this sounds familiar....I think I had to activate it in setup somewhere......a simple tick box if memory serves......but that was a about 3 months ago when I got the car....

I'm actually now working on converting all my music to mp3 and sticking it on an SD card......

Good luck activating it....as I'm pretty sure that's what you have to do.....

Edit - yeah, just nipped out to the car......press setup, then media and then tick or make sure AUX Input at the top of the screen is ticked.....otherwise even if you plug in your ipod, nothing will happen....this needs to be ticked first!

I have looked at the setup and there are no options for AUX, just two regarding displaying artist name and one for repeat and shuffle functions!

Is this fixable by a dealer? I have only had the car a week.

Did you unplug the iPod before you tried to activate aux?

I've just been out to our car to double check.

The info from johnny is correct.

Activate aux input is the first line on that screen.

Ah, a thought...you say you have 2 lines referring to artist, track etc.

Maybe the aux input line is hidden?

Try pressing the up arrow on the right hand aside of the screen and see if the aux input line appears.

Well, good luck with it.....once it works, it sure seems to be a pretty good stereo!!!

Guess I was just lucky the option was there for me!!!

Had the Audience unit in mine, swapped it for a latest revision Bolero, Aux socket in the jumbo box worked straight away.
