Vrs?

Featured Replies

Ive been driving my VRS for about 6 months now and today was asked the question 'Whats does VRS stand for?' I looked blankly and realised I havent got a clue what the badges all over my car mean.

Any Ideas??

the V does indees stand for Victory, this has been covered several times on here, it was put before the RS due to the thing with Ford ;-)

a bank holiday cheers from me

The car is called an RS over in Ireland and not vRS. Comparing it to the emblem over the S in Skoda and its the same, so I think that its only a coincedance that its a v shape. The "victory" thing is probably a cover story so Skoda didn't have to change the emblem on the cars.

......damn....where did that come from..... :)

So it appears that the v stands for victory and has been encorporated into the rs badge to stop the lawyers from ford getting disgruntled but has anyone noticed (just me being sad probably) the vrs badge/logo lends itself so nicely to Very Rapid Skoda..........

Sorry You are all wrong "V" is the first letter of the name/place of the factory in Chec land were Skoda's are built!
