Fitted a set of Jom coilovers to my mk1 estate this week. All is fine apart from a knocking at slow speed from the passenger side front I think.

New top mounts were fitted all round, and the knock wasnt there before

Could it be the drop links causing the problem now its lowered? Its probably down 60mm

Any advice will be apprdciated as always

inside the strut theres a nut (round with 2 small holes in it) joms are known for this being loose when new. both sets i have has on VWs and Audis have both needed tightening.

Can you get to this nut without removing the strut from the car?

possibly, if Gee is on about the actual shock nut that keep the shock insert in place. I had to fit a little plastic washer that goe's over the top to my KW's shock insert and was able to jack up car to get the springs to separate enough to allow access. You maybe lucky and get a allen key in to turn the washer nut tight? Will be dam tight for space though and visibility but worth a go.
