Featured Replies

UMC is so call " buyer brand " . is an local trademark, products sold only in one countries. the " brand name " holder is not manufactures. TV supply by China small maker. . you can get the same TV sold in China under many other brand. is very good for prices. subject to quality and reliability.

you paid less but at the end paid much more. usually such low prices TV need to keep on repair in 2 years. even need to change the LCD display just after warranty... the mose important issue is where to get spare parts ?.

UMC Televisions are manufactured by the Sky media ltd based in England. The company also manufactures other brands of electronics and is also in involved in broadcasting through the Sky television network which is a satellite television.

That doesn't seem a bad TV for the money. Built in Freeview and the ability to use a USB stick to play back a variety of popular formats is a big plus IMO. If your budget is limited then for that size TV with that spec, it doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. AFAIK most screens, be they LCD, LED or Plasma are all made in a handful or two of factories around the world. Obviously some are better than others. And being a Skoda driver, who cares too much about brand snobbery eh ;)

Only buy one of these pieces of dogsh*t if you're too skint to buy something else; as said before, it's a ching chong meow special using a Cultraview CV chassis. We cannot get spares for them and I've been forced to write off virtually every one I've ever had in the shop. The only time could advocate buying one is if a 5 year warranty was available - I say it to my repair customers that it's the only time I advocate buying an extended warranty.

There dave has spoken leave the sh!73 on the shelf lol
