After living with the 1.2HTP 's' for 20 months or so I decided it was about time for a change. Considered a Fabia vRS estate but at the end of the day with 4 large dogs the removable rear seats and square back of the Roomster clinched the deal.

Although the SE and SE+ are still not available on the UK site to order it would appear reading the CZ version of the Skoda website that production of these models resumed on the 23rd and the dealer confirmed that a similar roomster they had on order for a customer from months ago had been given a build date of next week. This convinced him that they should be taking new orders soon (possibly when any back log as been dissipated) and he was willing to bid on my px.

After a little haggling, considering that there will be a plate change in the mix, the dealer offered a very good price, slightly beating the offer I had had a week previously, though obviously no movement on the list price. After confirming categorically that the new car would not be one of the limited cut price specials and that the std spec included the panoramic roof, sunset glass etc the order as been placed!

must admit oh was told that they had limited choice of colours and seats etc(couldve been a ploy to get rid of old stock although looking about theres a shortage of them)and she could have the pick of 4 to arrive within 2 weeks

and must say the panaramic glass does make it feel great

None whatsoever, the dealer got back to me today, the factory are refusing to accept new orders and though they will do at some point in the future they don't know when. The dealer is unsure wether they are just trying to catch up on outstanding orders or if there is a delivery problem on the Pano roof, or both.

As we were both aware when I ordered the car that he was unable to put it on the system there and then, that the px price he gave me might not be one they could honor in the event of ordering not going live. He as said they will keep on the ball for a week or so but if they are still unable to order the car in the next week or so then we may have to go to plan B.

The problem is all roomster production as been moved to Kvasiny as far as I can tell.

Hmm, i thought the reason for the cutting back of the SE trim was the factory move, bit **** if they're punting that as the reason if they've moved all the models.... hey ho :-(

Hi Iv`e been told my Roomster is due middle of this month got every thing crossed for luck.

Mind you they can keep it until the 1st Feb I`ll have the new registration then.

wouldn't want the new 13 reg, driving round with the number 13 on the car doesn't appeal to me and happy i managed to get a 62 plate last month

Nice idea shame about the execution. Skoda have just announced that the production of the SE+ as ceased completely and they will do their best to complete all orders placed in 2012 but dealers may have to contact prospective owners with bad news :(

Yes, they offered to order me an SE but to spec it up to the same level would have cost an extra £600 more than the SE+ Didn't enquire if the SE had lost anything (like the Pano roof or not)

Still to be formulated, I think we would struggle in a Fabia estate with 4 greyhounds, possibly an Octy estate 1.4 tsi or just hang in with what we have and see what the new models look like.

There does seem to be an element of the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing! Especially when they've still got list prices up for the SE+. Ho hum!

I have been told today Roomster has been built just waiting for it to be delivered to UK and then to Showroom. Brillllllllllll.

Glad you are one of the lucky ones that have had a prior order fullfilled.

I have been given a build date of 18th March for an Octy estate now instead.

At last my Roomster has been delivered to the showroom and I will be driving it home one day next week Brilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

Well I picked up my Roomster today at 2.0 PM so far I am over the moon with it. Now I have got to get some mileage done to find if it was worth the wait.
