That's fair enough but unlocking and jailbreaking are two completely different things.

I unlocked the ohter half's HTC Sensation XE as we needed to be able to stick a German sim in while traveling.

Under american law I could get jail time for that! Crazy!

Jailbreaking allows you to install whatever you want on your phone.

Unlocking allows you to use your phone on whatever network you want.

Simply government being lobbied by at&t most articles on this I've read point at, as "big phone", as they're called are losing market share
