Steering issue. Fabia Vrs

Featured Replies

Going through a steering problem guys. 54 plate vrs and the steering is mega heavy right and light to the left. Got a pull to the left as well.

Could it be this steering angle sensor? No faults on dash etc and just passed mot In December and only slight play in the track rod end and that's it. Mechanical or electrical? Battery is 80% charged according to halfords that tested it but the lights "dim" when you steer a fair bit so thinking battery or sensor?

Sounds like the power steering motor, does it have enough fluid in? Pulling to the left will be the tracking

Steering as stated has an electrical motor for the power steering.

As said check fluid level.

If Steering Rack & Pinion unit faulty I believe it has to replaced as no serviceable parts.

Get a garage to confirm what problem is, before, paying out for something you don't really need ??

My steering has pulled left since car was new.

Is this pulling left something new for you, recently?

It's a big pull left not a drift left. The steering is SOLID to the right honestly and just wants to steer back to dead centre. Feels notchy actually when steering right but left is light and smooth. Strange fault. It's been getting worse and worse for a wee while now.
