Looking at a flat bottom MKV GTI steering wheel, airbags look very similar between the mkV and the mkII vRS, can anybody confirm if they are the same?

Airbag is similar, I think the skoda one is slightly bigger

Looking at a flat bottom MKV GTI steering wheel, airbags look very similar between the mkV and the mkII vRS, can anybody confirm if they are the same?

I've gone the same route, but bought the wheel and airbag together

IIRC the airbags weren't the same shape, but I can't remember which was bigger

It does mean I've got a VW badge in the middle of my wheel which isn't to everyone's taste, but I can live with it

No, i bougt a GTI steeringwheel just because of the same tought, but airbag does not fit.. new airbag is on the way now
