Bloody glove box light assembly help

Featured Replies

Took my glove box out yesterday and as the last screw came out, the weight o the glove pulled it down and the light assembly (big switch that tells light when globe box is open or shut) has come apart. I'm tryin figure out how it goes back together with the little spring but I've fairs, miserably, for hours. Of anyone could help that would be a mega help. Of if someone has a picture of it?

Any help would be highly appriciated

Jake

If it's the same as the Octavia one, I wish you all the best with it. I once spent about 2 hours dicking about trying to get it back together before giving up and throwing all the bits in the glove box. Roughly 5 years on, the bits are still in the glove box.

No mate. Ive not even plugged it in

I know it's not right because I can see how the actuall mechanism works and the spring acts as the switch and bridges the two terminals. It's just not doing that. I can onli say the spring has stretched
