MDI problem? Files on USB stick

Featured Replies

If I knew, I would! Sounds a feasible theory though.

Amazingly that seemed to do the trick. I copied all the files on my iTunes that were not 128kbps and made them 128kbps. I then deleted all of the duplicate files (all 861 of them) and updated the HDD with my entire iTunes library in 128kbps form and it worked!

It says "File Error" for a second then plays as normal.

Hopefully that will be the end of the trouble and I can listen to my music hassle free now!

I need to try that then! Will report when my new USB cable arrives as old one "broke" :)

Just buy an iPod you cheapskates! Lol ;-)

How much was the 64Gb one again? :D.

Just a Quickie (First Post!... pick my Greeline II Estate up in about 6 weeks!! )

I've got a Lexar 32Gb USB3 Stick at home with my music ready and waiting for my Car delivery.

Now I know it won't run at USB3 speeds (but for music it doesn't need to!), But the spec on the MDI says "USB2 Only"... The Dive is USB2 Compatible (my PC here at work is only USB2, while Home has USB3) and works no probs!!...

Would the MDI throw a wobbler and not recognise the stick (let alone the music... might have to re-format it from VBR to CBR 128 from what I'm reading here!! :wonder: )

I know I've got 6(ish) weeks, but I'm getting very excited!! First New Car for 10 Years!!!

USB 3.0 Type A connectors (male & female) are designed to be interoperable with USB 2.0 Type A connectors. You should be fine.
