Yeti Firmware Update

Featured Replies

My dealer told me that they always connect the car up to check for updates when the car is in for any service. Apparently, they have to or they get a slap on the wrist from SUK. Of course it could also be a sales ploy to get us back as they know even the very best independents don't have access to this sort of info. Mind you, that's generally going to be software, not firmware updates. Maybe the firmware update is something to do with the bogging down / stalling problem that occurs on the 1.2Tsi DSG cars? I know that's had some bad press.

Thanks for clearing this up - so generic rather than specific? :thumbup:

Can I just say I feel vindicated

I don't know, can you?

And does Vindicated approve? :giggle::kiss:

Yes she does but only at the weekend!?

Doesn't the terminal scan the ecu for to check for various parameters, then send it off to SUK?

A little off topic maybe, but the firmware update to my 1.2 DSG in January has removed the tendency to sometimes be slow to respond and then surge on pulling away after a slow speed approach to a roundabout.

The update also added a shim to the turbo system (on the waste gate I think).

Removed the need to change to S mode to avoid the problem. So whatever else it does the update is an improvement in this respect.
