VRS Tfsi remap

Hi guys. Any suggestions for a stage 1 remap? cheapest option and safe? How bad will this make the fuel consumption? Is there a plug in option or not advised? thanks as always.

I've got the bluefin superchip stage 1 map, DIY jobby. If I'm honest I love it, can't compare it to any of the other reputable brands as this is my 1st map but like the idea that I can remove & re-install at any time if I wanted too. It also doubles up as a fault code reader & you can immobilise the car with the handset as well. Useful if you go on holiday etc as even if someone did manage to get hold of your keys, they aren't going anywhere in it without the bluefin handset!

Fuel consumption is pretty much the same as before the map for me. Maybe slightly worse on some days but still manage to get 28-30 mpg which is start stop town driving.

On a decent run I'm looking at 38-40 mpg.

Hi Swimbat i am based in wokingham berkshire and can offer you a shark performance stage 1 map for your car and as you can see from previous discussions shark performance are one of the best.

pm me if you want/need any more details all the best

I had a bad experience with a not so good remap once. Since then I've had a few stages of remaps all with DNA Tuning, very happy chappy :)

Mpg with stage 1 was about same as stock for me overall.

I agree... simple to do and you can Take it off at any time, got 20% off at the moment on superchips website!

Angel Tuning map here. Is awesome. Running safe boost levels and AFR is spot on. Power is linear yet comes in strong.

I'm averaging 30 mpg. But driving styles may differ.

Best I've had on a run is 41.2 mpg.

My suggestion is to not go for the cheapest. You do rather get what you pay for with these things.
