Fabia Vrs On Autotrader

1-yes

2-not bad, ( Better than mine  )

3-yes 180 easy I've heard

4-Nope, but I'll find out when I test-drive one. Probably nothing else but rubber floor mats.

It would explain the sharp price, as discussed in the other Fab vRS thread.

If it had been an Octavia vRS-spec Fab vRS, I have no doubt that its price would be near to 13 grand, which would be the British equivalent of a rationally deducted Dutch price.

Seems that the Fabia vRS is nothing more than an elegance with a body kit and a slightly more powerful engine which is rather dissapointing. I love the look of the seats and I think the looks are good if a little too subtile. However I am lead to believe a CD player is now standard in the Fabia so thats nothing new! Keep fit windows in the back hmm, I have the leccy ones and I far prefer them!

All that Jon seemed to use his rear leccy windows for was to listen to the exhaust note... I can't say I can exactly use them for a similar exercise.

I'm not that enthusiastic about the new fabia vRS now, which I find quite disappointing. Its eems people like Matt & myself are better off modding existing 100BHP TDIs..?

I have to admit Jason I am now disappointed with the vRS Fabia too. I'd expect more toy's or either have it totally stripped out like a Clio cup (amazing car, very scary though!). It's neither, just a comfort Fabia with a bigger engine in it and some better seats. I actually enjoy my rear electric windows as opening them slightly helps me stay awake on the drive home from work as I am always on my feet and it can be as late as 10pm so the wind noise irritates you enough to make you concentrate.

And I suppose opening the front windows is a bit annoying as it blasts you with the wind? I could open my driver's side rear window, by dislocating my shoulder or something. being double jointed could help?

The rear windows are especially annoying as they give that aerodynamic noise above 40 mph. I sometimes open the front as well, but most of the time late at night I rely on A/C as it's bandit country outside

That aerodynamic noise is great for getting rear seat passengers to shut their windows when you're running the A/C... :D

It's good to have electric rear windows though when one of them "vents" after a night on the Stella!

Rob.

Hi there,

New here, with born with

Hi Lu2, it will be interesting to hear what you think of your test drive in the Fabia vRS. And welcome to Briskoda! grouphug.gif

Hi, Lu2! Welcome to Briskoda.

The CZ price is a lot cheaper than the British price. The British price compares quite unfavourably with other small performance cars (Renault Clio 172, Mini Cooper, etc...), and the diesel engine is no match for the superior petrol engines available.

The Fabia vRS is undoubtedly a good car, but it could have been far better.

Sorry, no ride, just wide... only been sit inside...

The A/C is one on the halfway - not a Climatronic, but holds the selected temp. Looks like a manual one but with degrees on the left knob. And hey, mind the colour - no better than the Black Magic one!

Interesting, New style climate without the digital readout.

My Fabia has that too. In the Octavia lower versions like Ambiente the dial just has blue which fades to red. In the Fabia however it has the temperature beside it 18C up to 26C. Don't really understand it. It is possible to switch on the aircon and turn the temp up to 26C!

I can also have the air-con combined with heat - handy for de-misting the screen sometimes, or if its too hot to have just fan, or the air-con on minimum temp is a bit too cold. (I'm a fussy bu99er!)

I know like the back seat passenger I had last week who complained the air con was too cold and compained that with it off it was too warm. I was about to stop in the middle of nowhere and suggest he walked when we managed to get the right balance of cool air and warm air.
