Delivery times update

Featured Replies

My wife's white, 5-door 60 ps elegance ordered in the second week of November will be handed over next Wednesday. So that's about 14 weeks against the 12 we were told when ordering. But given that Christmas/New Year was in the middle of this period (and the car was actually built nearly three weeks ago, but has been hanging around at Emden waiting for a full boat to Newcastle) that's not too bad.

So all you out there with a Citigo on order, it looks as though delivery times are not too bad, and about what are promised by dealers.

My Better halfs 5 door Elegance should have been built yesterday (so we were told) from an order date of 10th Dec. W hope it does not sit at the Docks too long as we would like it ready for the 1st March?

Owens-I wouldn't put hopes on getting it for the very 1st day of March. We were hoping for a 1st Sept delivery but it arrived the third week of Sept, which was around 10 days later than advised, not bad.

Took about 3 1/2 months for an order placed during the first week of October. White 5 door Elegance 60hp ordered from Denmark.

Looking good for me then, ordered a red 60PS Elegance on the 1st November, been told it's built and in transit now. :)

Mum ordered on 1st December and it arrived at the dealer this week. She won't pick up till March though.

Mines build week 6 order at begining of January. Should have it in 4/5 weeks times

Mum ordered on 1st December and it arrived at the dealer this week. She won't pick up till March though.

Dealer told me they had to be registered within 10 days of arriving at dealers. My car due to be built next week so shouldn't cause a problem but clearly someone's telling porkies if you're dealer's allowed to keep your mum's for 3 weeks before registering.

I think it depends on dealer - mine held my car in August so I could pick up on 1st September - I think that was about 2-3 weeks

I have ordered a Citigo feb. 2nd and was told 2 months delivery.

Sounds like speedy delivery.

Good to know thanks. I like to know when the dealer is telling little white lies. He insisted that if my car cam earlier than 18th Feb I would have to register it as a 62 plate. I made it quite clear that that just wasn't on but he said it was a Skoda rule. As it transpires my car will definitely not be here by Feb 18th but he's gonna get a word in his ear from me for telling porkies!

...or someone can just beat the waiting list and buy mine! Unfortunately I have to sell due to circumstance. :(

Delivery times seem better now, which is good.

Better than my 19 weeks from last year, that's for sure.

That's a shame, thought you were keeping it!

I'm tied in to buying a new one now.

Ordered an elegance 60ps on the 22nd of January. Was given a build week of 10 with it being at the dealers end of march early April. He did however say that the build week could change. But 9-10 weeks I'm pretty happy with!

Good news, now got a registration number and leasing paperwork for mine and it seems I'm getting a 75PS rather than 60!

I took the Citigo out for a Test Drive and was very impressed. I stressed i needed the car quickly and they sold me the car i'd just driven!

Got it in three days, and a bit cheaper than a brand new one.
