wheel bearings

Featured Replies

Just had front wheel bearing replaced anyone else had this problem only done 2500 miles

Have you got standard wheels and tyres---a friend with a passat has oversize tyres and he had this problem--otherwise can only surmise a lack of grease at manufacture---what did the garage say?

Have not had the problem, but it sounds like a faulty bearing. Once replaced, the problem should be solved.

Haven't had it on a Skoda but had it on an X Trail. As Agerbundsen said, it was a faulty bearing. You shouldn't have any more trouble.

Had it on a new Ford - after 100 miles front o/s wheel seized and roasted the brakes due to absolutely no grease in the wheel bearing when assembled.

58k on mine and all bearings perfect.

I've just had mine done, only one on the front, 22,000 miles and 4 years old.. Cost a lot too, bit annoyed.
