The jubilee clip probably needs a slight tighten.

its likely that the pipe may have split a little where that jubilee clip is biting into it, fairly easy and cheap fix, possibly just a couple of new clips and a short piece of coolant hose

thanks peeps! as its the weekend, I was going to attempt and sort this out. It is leaking slightly more now, as I've just had another look.

The question is..............if I were to take that part of the hose off to check if its split....will this affect the the air lock within the radiator system/will coolant start gushing out?

You probably will loose coolent and a lot of it. best thing to do is take the cap off the expansion tank that will relieve the pressure and drain the whole system to replace the whole coolent.

if it has been leaking for a while and you've been topping it up the top up stuff is never that great.

then you can work on it without the worry of that horrid stuff getting everywhere
