Hi guys i have set my alarm of and realised that it doesnt have a sounder. I was under the impression that the factory fitted alarm was a thatcham cat 1. i thought it had to have a sounder to get this rating? Is there any way to fit a sounder or is it something that can be turned on via VAGCOM?

Yep it can be made to beep via vag com

Also note the following from the owners manual:

• The working life of the alarm siren is 5 years. More detailed information is available

from your Škoda Service Partner.

Don't forget to check the fuse if you've never heard it going off in anger... It has it's own, so you can shut it up when it's mis behaving.. Believe it's the top left of the bigges.. but don't hold me to it.
