Flashing Glow Plug Light

Featured Replies

hello

sorry its me again lol

fitted cruise control this weekend but it has not yet been coded. Having it coded in later on in the week. The car drove fine earlier no lights etc. but tonight got in the car to go get some diesel set off down the road and the glow plug light started flashing? Car drove fine plenty power no other lights etc.. Had a look on here and brake lights work fine and you can hear the switch click on and off.

Is there any other things that cause this? or is it a case of plug it in and see? hopefully should be getting the car plugged in thursday or friday so will i just have to use the car as little as possible ?

thanks for any advice

Edited for jumping the gun and missing the bleedin obvious - dolt !

is it ok to use the car with this light on?? will it be anything serious?

id say its something to do with the cruise control. Plugged into the brake light switch ok and correctly? That would be my guess

i thought that but i did about 50 - 60 mile in the car earlier various types of driving all ok got in it again tonight and half way down the street the light comes on ...

It's to do with the coding of the engine module. I had the same trouble when coding an Audi a4 b8 cruise retrofit.

Make sure Wsc codes are the same in all modules you've changed coding on
