My 400 had an issue the other day where the camera lights up as it should but the record symbol on the back flashes fast and the camera doesn't record anything.

I found the reason for this is that I deleted the previously recordings and reinserted the memory card. Camera didn't or couldn't record because something was missing.

I removed the memory card again and formatted it on a standard windows pc and after an initialisation message everything was back to normal.

Is there a maximum memory card size with the 380? I put in a 16gb card and nothign I can do will make it work.

I formatted mine this morning and it started working again straightaway, so thanks to all for the advice.

I had left my car with the meet and greet parking service at EMA and I really wanted to be able to record just in case.

Happy to know that it's all good though. The Blackvue link that VRS19TD posted up suggests formatting weekly.

I wouldn't worry about formatting it weekly too much, i don't and it still records fine.

Should handle a 16gb.

Have you tried a full format, the slow one?

If that does not work, copy the operating files from the old SD card on to the newly fully formatted 16gb card.

I had to do this with a couple of the 300 units at work when they didn't like being upgraded to 8gb.

Didn't like a blank card but fine now.

I wouldn't worry about formatting it weekly too much, i don't and it still records fine.

I probably do mine every two or three months. About 3000-4000 miles of driving.

EDIT: I am running 32gb cards.

Can i just add make sure the card your using is a high quality branded class 10 card.

It's sandisk, not sure of the class
