Farewell Yeti... ... ...

...He'd a grin on his face as he realised what a bargain he was getting when I told him that was less than theyd given me for it, AND it had a set of normal tyres being stored by Sinclairs.

Most farmers I know are a lot smarter than that ;-)

Fancy a DVD. PM me!! Is it worth it? Ask the mid-Wales resident expert (no mean singer himself) Graham!

The DVD is well worth getting and all the proceeds go to a very good cause, close to the hearts of many in the area.

And there may be a small gig in early August for my 60th!!

Enjoy the Superb. I can't see it matching Yeti residuals either though. I paid £13600 for my new Yeti S in 2010 and sold it two years later for £11000. £2600 depreciation in two years on a brand new car, amazing. There aren't many 'premium' brands that can match that!

I managed £3000 depreciation on my last octavia over 3 years

Thus far the comparisons between the Yeti and the 'Berb have proved interesting. Smoother, quieter, wallowier, not nearly as "direct" in steering response and has a tendency to understeer, comfier with space for driver to loll about a bit, and so on.

The boot is just incredible, and despite being quite big on my back legs, reaching something small up the front of the boot means that my trousers rub on the back bumper and get a good coating of mud'n'muck on the crease.

Climbing up out of the pilot's chair to disembark also results in an effective wipe of the cruddy sill, this time with the BACK of those same trouser legs. Gonna have to carry a change of leggings during inclement, silt-producing weather.

The engine, 170, is just an absolute PEACH. (Go, mango, cos going fast really apples to me, and I will orange my roots to take the fastest, and sprout wings - faster than a horse and cabbage, - and prior to getting in, avocado open. There's so mushroom in it il never get my butternuts squashed.......)

The ONE THING that has pead me off totally is - and this is ridiculous for a so-called luxury car - that the rear view mirror is not auto-dimming. Grrrrrrr. And I do miss the hill start jobbie.

Otherwise the 'Berb is pretty damn good, and I don't really miss the Yeti yet.
