damp rear footwell carpet.

Featured Replies

Hey guys.

i know this has been covered before but i wanted to know if there was a guide to sorting the problem out as i dont have a clue where to look.

I've read it can be something to do with a rear plate letting water through or the door rubbers wearing and letting water in but what should i do to repair this problem?

thanks.

Very briefly:

Take the door cards off, scrape the sealant from bottom half of the door, allow to dry out, apply a good thick new layer of sealant, re-fit door card.

You're good to go.

thank you mate thats pretty much what i needed to know :)

If there is anywhere else that causes a leak I'de like to know. hope it doesnt cause rust either.

Folk reckon the water that sits on top of the boot seal trickles into the boot and the spare wheel recess... Might also be worth a look at bud
