I finally got the VRS!

Featured Replies

I collected the keys to my Vrs this morning and have to say I am very pleased indeed :-). Done about 70 mile so far and am just in love, find the ride firm but expected that and don't mind, don't find the body roll as bad as I was expecting at all and just addicted to the speed. I will add some pictures when I get a chance tomorrow. As I keep seeing on this forum now I might as well add my mpg figure as it seems to be getting asked alot! 72 miles on the clock averaging 38mpg with some chilled driving and a fair few squirts of speed I between so happy with it and no were near as low as some ppl on here seem to be getting.

Enjoy

Mpg display is a little on the generous side so expect a little lower if you work it out when you fill up but who cares about that lol .

I'm expecting that lol but if I can squeeze 300m to a tank ill be happy, just need to lower it now could literally play hide and seek in the arches at the mo

Enjoy your Vrs, I have had my Vrs since the end of December. I averaged 39mpg on my first fill up so was rather pleased with that!

i did see 45mpg at one stage doing a motorway run so its possible to get a good mpg out of it. However a couple of short blasts later and this figure came down. :giggle:

Love the car to bits, the best bit is when someone is travelling too close behind you, a little blip of the accelerator and they are gone!

I get 300ish from a tank with the 40mile range warning coming on so should be OK unless you drive like you stole it all the time ;)

Congratulations on your new car, hope you stay as happy with it as I am mine.

Really pleased with my mpg and the oil usage is getting better and better to.

Enjoy!!

Cheers, I have fingers crossed the oil issue don't pop up but if it does tue car is under company lease and we got the leasing company to agree if it did start to happen we could return the car for something else so happy enough with that

Enjoy your new car.

Ron.

I know there are loads of threads on here and other forums about oil issues but there are many cars that don't have the problem. Generally people without the issue don't go shouting about it. Either way sounds like you have it covered under the lease anyway. Enjoy the car and use the manual mode, so much more satisfying than just leaving it in D. D is great for lazy driving but if you want to drive it properly push that stick to the left!

Happy days then, your well sorted  .

I'm a big +1 to what Moist Von Lipwig says as well

Cheers to everybody really appreciate the well wishes with the car. I did some liquid vinyl painting of the vents and radio surround today to brighten up the dash and it came out better than I hoped so will put some pics up soon

I just got 370 miles out of the last tank somehow. Didn't even go on any long trips!

I'm liking the sound of that, hopefully I can get somewhere near this so as to keep the boss happy with the fuel bill :-)! Heading towards 300ish on my very first fill

I have also made 360 miles on a atnk once :)

This is good to hear as I have read a lot of threads on this forum and that type of milage was starting to sound like a myth lol. I have also noticed that it is near impossible not to plant the warp pedal :-)

Got 270 on my last tank...short journeys a pain!

I was down to 15 miles left of the computer though

I was down to zero, but refused decided i WAS going to complete the journey without filling up ;) I wasn't going slowley though....

I have made over 400 miles once! :)

The thing is I have pregnant wife and if and when she wants something I normally go in a hurry :)

Just did my second full, did 311 miles and the needle was 2 marks off the red so decided to fill it and when I brimed it it would only take 35 litres so still had 10 in it. Well impressed and I didn't drive that slow either
