hello Skud members

firstly im only being cheeky craigrobbo lol as ive been following your thread with great interest!

let me introduce myself now.

about 4 months ago i picked up this little gem, with on 80K on the clock fsh and one previous elderly lady who only sold it as she needed a hip replacement and couldn't work stick shift any more so you know aint never seen past 3K on the clock lol.

its a 2002 MK1 1.8T octavia 4X4 that WAS completely standard till i got my hands on it:)

well where do i begin??? well its my first german/chek car and im really impressed as ive just come from the jap scene and last was a scooby.

the fit and finish is miles better than jap and its more than 10 years old and it still feels tight as a drum.

here she is when i got her and ive got some plans for this little wolf in sheeps clothes!!

when i get back from Abu Dhabi shes getting re mapped by BROTEK/SHARK,now ive already replaced the old DV as it sounded more like a budgie with a new OEM as this should do for a stage 1 map.

the standard alloy wheels are now on winter Tyre duty and i bought some Genuine 18" Audi TTRS alloys which were well knackered with curbing a corrosion for cheap and re furbed them myself in gloss black and then stuck on some continental rubber and what a difference to the eye they make.

now i am toying with the idea with lowering her by 30 mm with KW coil overs and will need the adjustable camber arms for the rears BUT i live in the north east of Scotland and usually have big snow drifts where i live so slamming her may be a bad idea but shes begging to be lowered

that's the front grill mod taking care of. surprising easy to do.

although wrapping the gay chrome grill surround with Matt black vinyl was a **ck to do but my missus did an amazing job, not enough patience for this.

i bought this old vRS bumper for £48 and did the wide mouth grill mod on her, just waiting on my body shop to paint her.

now the rear spoiler was badly faded so wrapped it in carbon fiber vinyl as its way cheaper than painting and WOW it really goes with the black bump strips and the alloys. i did this as it was way easier than the chrome grill surround.
